SJAMC II

Group Divisions

There are two divisions for the contest:

Intermediate division (Grade 6 – Grade 8)
- Only middle school students can participate in Intermediate. Recommended for middle school students.
Advanced division (Grade 6 – Grade 12)
- Recommended for high school students, but middle school students may also take part.

*Although middle school students are eligible to sign up for the advanced division, please keep in mind that the rigor of the problems are aimed at high school students.

Rounds

Intermediate division:

Intermediate Individual Round
- All Multiple Choice Questions
- 15 questions, 40 minutes
Intermediate Team Round
- All Free Response Questions
- 20 questions, 40 minutes

Advanced division:

Advanced Individual Round
- All Multiple Choice Questions
- 15 questions, 40 minutes
Advanced Team Round
- All Free Response Questions
- 20 questions, 40 minutes

ALL PARTICIPANTS should solve both individual and team round questions (Mandatory).

Participants

Language: English only
Team Formation: A team can participate with exactly four students.
*Does not accept registrations without four team members.

Scoring

Each question is worth 6 points.
There is no penalty for a wrong answer (0 points).
A blank answer will receive 1.5 points.
